IBC Bank iPhone App
Challenge:
The Laredo, Texas-based bank offering its customers convenience and always strives to “do more.” With this in mind, IBC Bank sought to engage customers and provide convenience while the customer is on the go.
Strategy:
KGBTexas worked with the IBC corporate team to develop an iPhone application that delivered functionality and offered convenience and bank information to help educate customers in the financial realm. The purpose of the application was to enable customers to find more convenience in their lives, which was accomplished by a tip calculator and branch locator. Bank news and videos were also added to entertain the user and educate them with financial information and free IBC Bank products.
Result:
With a successful iPhone application launch in September 2010, the free application had already been downloaded by more than 1,000 users in both the United States and Mexico by the end of October. We continued to see a steady stream of downloads and positive customer reviews. In 2011 we hope to provide an new version with additional functionality that, again, provides convenience and bank functionality.
